A B R I E F H I S T O R Y
As a multidisciplinary artist, initially an abstract painter, I have found myself on a creative journey.
Passing through the raptures of ceramics to most recently the dynamic qualities of glass fusing.
Art glass comes in many varied forms. From sheet glass, crushed glass, powders, strings and enamels to name a few. It can be transparent or opaque, coloured or clear. Each gives the opportunity to create vivid, dramatic and contemporary pieces of art.
I plan each piece to some degree beforehand, although inevitably colours and textures can morph into something quite unexpected! The kiln temperature which can be as high as 800 degrees centigrade will also affect the texture of the glass. The final shape may be flat for framing or shaped by a ceramic mould. The possibilities are endless.
I enjoy creating small to medium unique home wares and gifts. The natural elements of both coast and countryside play a huge role in my work. My tireless passion keeps me motivated, allowing me to explore new imaginative possibilities.
Living in Portstewart since 2008, I am influenced not only by the stunning coastal environment, but by family and close friends, materials or even a new tool!
When your mission is to find a gift for someone you love or perhaps just to treat yourself, mine is to make sure it’s the
most thoughtful, heartfelt and original gift available!
Please feel free to contact me for prices and availability.
